Cheese and Garlic Biscuits
Submitted by Lori

2 c. bisquick (that's easier than flour)
2/3 c. milk
1/2 c. grated cheese
1/4 tsp. garlic salt.

Mix ingredients together and press biscuits onto un-greased cookie sheet. Bake at 425 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Rub with butter and enjoy!

Swampbaby adds: brush the tops with a mixture of melted butter, fine parsley, and a drop or two of Worcestershire. Lori puts garlic in the biscuits and I add a little garlic to the butter mixture. Either way it's ummmmmm good.

Very rich and flavorful with a crisp topping of cheese. Great with home made soups and stews.
Mexican French Toast
Submitted by Peachy Keen

Batter:
3 Eggs
1/3 Cup Milk
Pinch of Salt
Pinch of Black Pepper

Other Ingredients:
Texas Toast bread
Jar of your favorite Salsa
Shredded Mild Cheddar Cheese
Vegetable Oil

Beat batter ingredients together.

In a frying pan put vegetable oil and heat as you would for frying. Lay slice of bread in batter covering fully. Fry in the oil until crispy on both sides or to liking. Once bread gets done with frying put on plate then cover with cheese.

You can also use sliced cheese but the shredded melts better. Then as you fry more and more bread layer; bread, cheese, salsa.
